Burgundy has a lot to offer, with its historic monuments, artistic treasures, magnificent landscapes and gourmet cuisine. The pleasure of cycling through meadows and river landscapes, visiting picturesque villages and various witnesses to the past – that’s Burgundy.
Cycle paths guide you along small agricultural back roads, partly on the towpath of the Canal du Nivernais. An idyllic journey by bike!
The green corridor
Auxerre’s coulée verte, which stretches over a distance of around 12 km, forms a peaceful route that encircles the city for almost 13 km. This itinerary is made up of greenways, cycle paths and a few limited-traffic streets, with a breathtaking view over the town of Auxerre.
Enjoy a 4-hour walk and admire the unspoilt flora.

Self-service electric bicycles arrive in Auxerre!
A total of 320 electric bicycles at 43 stations are now available within the Communauté d’Agglomération de l’Auxerrois. This service, which is truly unique in France, lets you rent the same bike for trips ranging from a few minutes to several months, adapting its use to your personal needs.
